Skiing in Ischgl Austria

Just back in the door from a wonderful week’s skiing in Ischgl, Austria. The body (and mind) are a bit jaded at this point but it was more than worth it.

Ischgl is one of the best ski resorts in Austria. The combination of an excellent 200km+ worth of runs (including some seriously challenging and breathtaking red runs), legendary Apres Ski, excellent conditions and a smugglers run into nearby Sauman in Switzerland for duty free means that it’s hard to beat Ischgl for a week of fun in the Alps.

It’s definitely not a place for Beginners though. Out of the 5 of us in the group, 4 of us picked up injuries (I escaped unscathed*touches wood*) – including one serious injury which required a skidoo to pick up the wounded from the side of the mountain!

That aside, anyone with a few ski trips under ther belt with love it.
